Lehrstuhl für Verfahrenstechnik des industriellen Umweltschutzes // Montanuniversitaet Leoben

Welcome to the chair for Process Technology and Industrial Environmental Protection!

The chair was founded at the Montan University in 1991, together with the introduction of the study „Industrial Environmental Protection“, which in the last 20 years, has become one of the favourite study courses at the university. The first institute’s director of, the at that time independent “Institute for process technology and industrial environmental protection”,  was em. O.Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. mont. Werner Kepplinger, who established and managed the chair till his retirement in September 2010. During this time, pioneering work was conducted and emphasis on research work developed: industrial waste gas cleaning, process technological plant construction as well as the treatment and utilization of residual products from industrial production, especially the metallurgy industry.

Since October 2010, Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Lehner is director of the chair, which since January 2013 is now part of the newly formed Department of Environmental and Energy Process Engineering. Inform yourself in the following web pages about the actual research projects and facilities of the chair.
