Information on the Master's Thesis & Graduation
Before Starting the Master’s Thesis
- Define and specify the thesis topic (with relevance to “industrial environmental protection”)
- The master’s thesis must be assigned to the advanced specialization in Process Engineering
- Appoint a supervisor (university lecturer or university professor); for industry-based theses, an additional contact person within the company must be specified
- Define an approximate timeline
Formal Registration of the Master’s Thesis
- Complete the thesis registration form
- Specify the supervisor and mentor
- Submit the signed registration form personally or via email to Ms. Gabriella Read
- Have the master’s thesis agreement created at the responsible chair/institute
During the Thesis
- Write the master’s thesis within the agreed timeframe
- Submit the thesis to the supervisor for correction/approval
Submission of the Master’s Thesis
- Register and submit the master’s thesis in MU-Online
- Plagiarism check conducted by the supervisor
- Recording of the thesis evaluation by the secretary’s office
- Submit the final version: digital copy + 1 bound copy, either personally or via email to Ms. Gabriella Read
Defensio & Graduation
- Register for a Defensio appointment at the appropriate chair/institute: Specialization “Waste Recycling and Waste Management” → Ms. Bettina Stocker-Reicher; Specialization “Process Engineering” → Ms. Gabriella Read
- Additionally, submit the graduation application via the SSC homepage; otherwise, registration at the chair/institute is not possible
- Download and submit the Defensio registration form from the chair’s homepage within the deadline
Final Step
- The schedule for the Defensio will be sent out by the secretary’s office.
