Markus Ellersdorfer

Markus Ellersdorfer finished his diploma studies on „Industrial Environmental Protection and Engineering“ at the Montanuniversität Leoben in 2007 with a special focus on process engineering and recycling technology. Afterwards he joined the doctoral program at the Chair of Process Technology in Leoben and graduated in 2012. In his doctoral thesis, he investigated the feasibility and environmental aspects of combining biogas plants with cement works. After a post-doc period of three years he established the research area “Renewable Materials Processing”, which he heads as assistant professor since 2016. The research group is focused on the processing and utilization of biogenic residues and their components as renewable resources for industrial processes.
